DIY Wednesday

So this weak I have been working on this crochets elephant.
The pattern is in danish, but i should be pretty easy to figure out.

I have been freestyling a little bit when it comes to the size of it, which made it a bit difficult since I had to make a piece exactly a like... but well I think I managed pretty well.
I do not have pictures of the process it selves, but I have midways through.

the yarn I bought in a danish store called Søsterne Grene, it's cotton and I used a whole grey, and very little black.

inside I put pillow stuffing, so it's possible to wash it
- it's possible to buy it in IKEA for not much, i think I payed 24 danish kroner

picture of the finished elephant....

it took me about four to five nights to make it, and when I say nights I mean about two to three hours at most.

The elephant is for my 2 year old nephew for christmas, hopefully he'll like it.

Sunday book review

So today I'm gonna review Love, Tanya by Tanya Burr

and just to clarify, I'm not getting payed for doing this or saying anything about this book.

I found Tanya as I was looking for make up tips on Youtube and then fell in love with her crazy personality. When I heard about her book it was a book I needed to have, because of the make up tips.

Love, Tanya is a book where you first of all get to know Tanya a lot better, which is amazing. You get to know about why she started with make up, how she and Jim met and how just some of her thoughts growing up.
But in the book there's also tips on make up, hair and just how to take good care of your skin.

Tips that are very useful in a lot of ways.
But this is book does have it's down sides.

There's some pages where they ask you to write down your own top 10, which is to withdraw the reader, but to me I find it useless and irritating. I haven't filled them up myself, and I'm never gonna.
Because I feel like I'm invading Tanya's private life by writing about myself.

All in all I find this book good, but it's big and clumsy to read, it's not a book you take to bed to read.

I'm going to give this book 2.5 out of 5 stars.

Open hearted saturday

How to feel when your flatmate wants to move?

So H wants to move out...

This means I'll have to get a new flatmate, I dont want to move so this is the only solution.

But how to feel about this? is there any right way to handle this, what do you say, how do you react to the feeling coming with news like this?

Just to make things clear, this is only my ideas and my thoughts, I'm not saying this is the right way or the only way. Every person is different.

My first reaction was: What? why? what did I do wrong?

as you can tell, at first I thought I was the problem, even tho I so many times tell myself: not everything is about me.
I still couldn't help thinking I was the reason for her to wanting to move out.
H never gave me time to realize that this was happening, she told me and the owner of our flat at the same time, to say I was chocked is an understatment.

And maybe I didn't react the right way, I pulled away from H and put myself in a boble, avoiding her because I didn't wanted to handle it, I wanted things to be as they were.
Because I thought it was working alright..

But well as time went I realized that maybe it is for the best, we weren't happy as it was.
I see that now.

But now time has come to say what now, how do I move on from here?
well one thing is clear, I need to find a new flatmate, which I guess is a great thing. I get to meet new people and I have to overstep some boundaries as I need to pick one of them to live with.
Insane I know.
But I guess making choices is a part of growing up, and I can't deny that I'm no longer a teenager...

So yeah, I will of course update you when I know more, because as it is, I know as much as you: Nothing.

DIY Wednesday

So I'm taking you guys back about a month, to halloween.

For halloween H and I carved pumpkins.

I made my pumpkin from ideas I pictures I found around the internet.

I started with the mouth since this was the piece I knew would take the longest.

It was a struggle since I couldn't cut through because that would ruin the mouth, but I had to peel the outside, which ended with me cutting myself in the finger.

but in the end I ended up with a face looking like this.

It took sometime but was worthing in the end.

but since the back was boring, I decided to make something there and it had to be writing.
I had a lot of trouble cutting out the letters and some of them aren't perfekt, but in the end I was really happy about the result.

So this was my halloween pumpkin, if you guys made some, let me know please I would love to see more.

What I ate Tuesday

I started of the day with oatmeal.

I like to start of the day with something that makes me full for a long time, and I have found out that oatmeal makes my stomach happy til at least lunch.
I often start the day with a cup of tea as well, this is strawberry, but it changes after what mood I'm in.

I dont know how much of it I eat, but I normally fill the bowl like this and it's normally enough.

For lunch I got two mini pizzas, one with mozzarella and one pepperoni.
and of course a glass of water.
Wasn't my plan to get this, but I was at the doctor today and I was sad when I left so comfort food it was.

Okay well my dinner I forgot to take a picture of... but I just got pasta with ketchup, so nothing exciting there.

Hello Monday

Today I wanna tell you about 3 things that I'm thankful for,
I'm doing this in the hope of brighting up your day.
And also because of the terror in Paris I thought it was good to remember that being thankful is important, because tomorrow everything could be changed.

the 1. thing I'm thankful for is my health.
of course do I get ill, but down to it all I'm healthy and I'm not badly sick, I have asthma and that's it, which I believe you can very well live with,

the 2. thing I'm thankful for is my friends.
I have som very strong friendships in my life, which I'm very thankful for. Sadly not everyone get's to have this.

the 3. thing I'm thankful for is my family.
They're all well and good, they're there for me when I need it and the support me in everything I want to do.
I moved across the country to study and not once did any of the question my choice.

What are you guys thankful for? please tell me in the comments.

Sunday book review

This is my review of Girl Online by Zoe Sugg
I have not been paid to do this and everything I write is my own words.

How did I found out about this book?
Well I follow Zoe or Zoella on Youtube and find her very inspiring so it was natural for me to want her book.

Christmas 2014 I got my hands on Girl Online, it's a book I have wanted since it came out.
When I finally got it I read about half of the book in one go.
Then sadly my studies came in the way and I forgot about the book for a while.

But last month I finally came around to finish the book.

So what do I think of the book?

When I started the book in the beginning of the year I couldn't put it down, and when I picked it up again, I felt the same way. I think I spend about 5 to 6 hours in total reading the book.

It's not a difficult book to read and the story line is pretty easy to follow.

I got to admit normally when a book isn't to challenging or the story line easy I wouldn't normally finish the book.
But something about the story line in this book, that even tho it was easy to follow, I found it very interesting to read.
It made me finish the book and wanting for more, so I can't wait to get my hands on Zoe's next book Girl Online on Tour, but that will have to wait. Hopefully I will get it for christmas this year, fingers crossed.

I'm gonna give this book 4 out of 5 stars.
Could be a little more challenging, but this is still a good book.
